They may be worth an estimated £115million, but Wayne Rooney and Coleen Rooney’s Cheshire mansion has been mocked for ‘looking like a Morrison’. Secret £5m Barbados Pad

The Rooneys’ housing portfolio extends overseas – where they rent a stunning Barbados villa for over £25,000 in high season.

The five-bedroom property has an infinity pool, a media room, and a shared golf course.

Inside, the walls are lined with portraits of Hollywood icons Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe.

Paradise Pad sits on the island’s exclusive Jasmine Ridge estate, with celebrity neighbors including Ant and Dec and Rowe’s old United team-mate Rio Ferdinand.

Boxer Joe Calzaghe and motorcycle racer Carl Fogarty are also said to own homes there.

Over the years, the Swish Bajan resort has become so popular with Manchester’s rich and famous that its residents have dubbed it the Northern Quarter.

Rooney bought the villa for £5m in 2010, but put it on the rental market as a holiday home several years ago, the Manchester Evening News reported.

United fans who want to live like Wayne themselves will have to cough up around £10,000 to stay at the Royal Westmoreland pad during the low season.

And those who stay in high season will have to fork out up to £25,410 a week.

Based on Rooney, who has been renting out the property since 2015, he could have netted more than £5m from wealthy guests so far.

It won’t be long until they reach the price they paid a decade ago after rent was no doubt affected by the pandemic.

£300k apartment in Florida

Not all of Wayne and Colleen’s purchases have been made in Barbados, apparently.

In 2007, the couple splashed out around £320,000 on a luxury waterfront apartment at Harbor Point in Port Charlotte, Florida – but property prices have subsequently fallen.

He bought it through Pay Your Place Abroad – whose former clients include footy star Michael Owen and former cricketer Andrew Flintoff, the Daily Mail reported.

The firm has since gone into liquidation.

Public records list Rooney as the owner of a three-bedroom condo at the riverside resort, with a balcony and more than 1,750 square feet of living space.

It also has a master suite with a study and ‘oversized walk-in closet’, with a fitness center and an in-ground heated pool available on the resort grounds.

It is believed that the ‘open’ condo is currently being rented out.

In the years since the Rooneys snapped up their apartment, property prices in the area plummeted, with some homes falling in value by more than £150,000.

Wayne Rooney Venice Castle

Rooney lived happily in the £6m home in Prestbury, Cheshire, for more than a decade before it was the target of an attempted burglary.

In August 2016, an ex-serviceman tried to break in while Wayne was playing in an appreciation match, leaving Colleen fearing for her children’s safety.

Known as the ‘Cancer Castle’ among other nicknames, Rooney’s home reportedly had six en-suite bedrooms, a cinema, a Jacuzzi, and a swimming pool.

There have also been rumors of under-lawn heating and hairdressing salons.

‘Beautiful’ Maryland home

After Wayne joined DC United, where he is now expected to become head coach, in 2018, Rooney was rumored to be moving into a lavish £12m Washington DC mansion.

This property in Wesley Heights has a wine cellar, a home gym, an outdoor swimming pool, an entertainment room, and even a large cinema screen.

But it has since been reported that the family chose to stay in Maryland instead. They were believed to be living within 50 minutes of the US capital.
