Kirby 64: Nintendo Switch gamers will soon be able to experience one of Kirby’s previous adventures. On Friday, Nintendo announced that Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards will be available on Nintendo Switch Online and the Expansion Pack next week.
Originally published in 2000, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was Kirby’s first step into 3D visuals, albeit it remains mostly a 2D platformer. Rebuilding the precious crystal that was shattered by Dark Matter is the focus of the game. Of course, he’ll encounter lots of opponents, adversaries, and allies along the road.
In the past, Kirby 64 has been ported to Nintendo’s current-generation systems. On the Wii and Wii U Virtual Console, it was also included in the Kirby’s Dream Collection Wii compilation.
Nintendo Switch Online + The Crystal Shards Expansion Pack members will get access to Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards starting on May 20. In addition to a selection of classic games from systems like N64 and Sega Genesis, the combined membership costs $49.99 per year and includes additional content for titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
