Destiny 2: Beyond Light’s addition of Stasis to Destiny 2: The Witch Queen will have an impact on how the Light subclasses function. The Stasis Aspect and Fragment mechanism will be implemented for the Void classes in Destiny 2 on February 22. This will allow the class to be significantly more versatile and adaptable to each player’s needs.

On Thursday, Bungie released its most detailed look yet at Void 3.0 in a blog post.

Void 3.0’s “verbs” have been updated to include the following, word-for-word;

When a target is suppressed, all of their active abilities are removed from them. The target is unable to use any abilities or move in any modes while suppressed. The participants in the conflict are confused.
Damage is enhanced, mobility is hindered, and the enemy is bewildered as a result of being weak.
Additional damage will cause the Volatile target to detonate in a Void explosion. Detonation occurs even if the target dies before volatile has sustained enough damage to explode
Radar does not pick up a trace of the player, making them completely undetectable.
Players are given a protective barrier that quickly accumulates on top of their current health and shields and blocks incoming harm. Overshield decreases PvE combatants’ damage to a lesser extent.
Devour: The player’s health and grenade energy are both restored immediately after triggering devour from any source. Regaining full health, receiving grenade energy, and extending the duration of the devour boost are all benefits of a single kill when devour is active.

When a term like Volatile is included in an ability description, Guardians know that the enemy will explode, and so on. Verbs like Shatter, from Stasis, are comparable to this.

Individual classes are then discussed, starting with Titans.

Ward of Dawn and Sentinel Shield are the two Supers available to Titans in Void 3.0. Sentinel Shield now includes Banner Shield, according to Bungie’s sandbox discipline lead Kevin Yanes.) Instantly summoning Ward of Dawn, and the Sentinel Shield’s mobility and protection are both improved. Additionally, Titans will have a melee skill that allows them to toss their shield whenever they desire.

Void 3.0’s Titan Aspects include the following:

Using a Void ability or a volatile detonation to hit a target will make them volatile.
Casting Barricade grants you close allies over the shield. Over time, the over shield will renew and extend the over shield’s usefulness.
While wearing an overshield or within the Ward of Dawn, grenades charge substantially faster and your melee damage is boosted. For your Sentinel Shield Super, you also get an extra shield throw.

Hunters are already fast and sneaky demons, but Void 3.0 will make them much more so. Spectral Blades, Shadowshot Deadfall, and the modified Shadowshot Moebius Quiver are the three Supers available to Hunters under the new system. Tied foes become Volatile when shot with Moebius Quiver, which fires three arrows at once. The tether anchor of Deadfall draws in foes. It will be possible to Weaken foes using the Hunter Snare Bomb’s melee.

Void 3.0 will include three new Hunter Aspects:

Using Quickfall, players can waste their melee charge and dive to the ground, generating a haze of smoke as they do so. In the cloud, enemies are weakened, and comrades are rendered indistinguishable. As an added bonus, Snare Bombs turn adjacent friends invisible once they connect to an enemy or surface they are attached to.
The Hunter vanishes when he or she dodges.
Executioner with a Slick Look: Truesight and invisibility are granted after defeating a Void-debuffed target (weak, suppressed, or volatile). After a Stylish Execution, your next melee assault weakens your foes while you remain invisible.

In the Void subclasses of Warlocks, energy is siphoned and things are disintegrated, much like they are today. Nova Warp, Nova Bomb Vortex, and Nova Bomb Cataclysm are Warlock’s Void Supers. Other than Vortex’s ability to lure foes into the damage zone, these all continue to work as they do currently. Pocket Singularity, the new melee ability for Warlocks, forces them to hurl a bomb that drives opponents away and renders them Volatile as well.

Your Vortex, Axion Bolt, Scatter, and Magnetic grenades will be overcharged if you hold down the grenade button. Overcharging of magnetic grenades causes the Handheld Supernova to explode.
Feed the Void: Activate devour by killing an adversary with a Void ability.
Old Gods’ Child: To call forth a Void Soul, use your Rift. Void Soul will detonate near an adversary when you harm them with your weapon, attaching tentacles that inflict damage and weaken the target. Healing Rift and Empowering Rift both restore health and/or melee and grenade energy when your Void Soul inflicts harm on an enemy. Rift energy is gained when a draining adversary is defeated.

With Void 3.0, grenades will also get a huge overhaul. All classes get access to all five grenade kinds, instead of only three for each class. The studio also showed off a few new Aspects for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, including:

Enemies erupt when they are killed with the Void ability.
Melee energy is gained by destroying foes with grenades, but strength is depleted as a result.
A short-term improvement in mobility and a reload of your equipped weapon’s ammunition are both granted when you suppress a target with Echo of Domineering.
Discipline penalty; weakens opponents with void-grenades.

Finally, Bungie explained how the new Aspects and Fragments would be unlocked. In The Witch Queen, existing Destiny 2 players won’t need to unlock anything, and their Void 3.0 subclasses will be mostly unchanged. During the short New Light campaign, new players will be able to access it. A few Fragments, however, will not be available until after the world premiere of The Witch Queen raid, as Bungie has said publicly.

In 2022, Void 3.0 will be the first big update to the game’s abilities. Bungie plans to release the Lightfall expansion sometime in 2023, so both Solar and Arc will be available for a limited period during the winter months. Burning and chaining damage will be their main focus.
